BashBreach is a blog, an indie web site, and a place for referencing
my cybersecurity topics, research, projects, and more. I’ll usually document the things I’m learning, researching, and building.
You'll see blog entries discussing a range of cybersecurity and infosec topics, the latest security tools and trends,
the best learning resources I use, and sharing open source projects that others, and myself, have made.
I try to go in depth with the blog entries to really make sure I explain the topics well, which helps me understand what I'm actually talking about.
If a blog ends up containing far too much content, I always include a TL;DR (Too Long; Didn’t Read) section at the beginning, to summarize the main points.
Other than the blog entries, I try to keep the Home Page updated with many things, to increase the quality of life in the site.
I provide relevant and summarized news regarding cybersecurity, infosec, computer science, and tech in general. I also try to include user engagement,
so you'll find things like an FAQ section, trivia questions, and even exam practice questions.
I created this website because I believed if I researched and kept writing about cybersecurity,
I'd understand its concepts a lot better. This website isn’t just a reference for me, but also for you —especially if you’re a local
student or just someone interested in cybersecurity.
My name is Mohamed Benaissa. I am an undergraduate freshman at the University of New Haven,
studying Cybersecurity and Networks, with a concentration in network security.
I believe my interest in cybersecurity has stemmed from modding video games, trying to test the limit on
how much I can configure and manipulate native game files.
Similar to cybersecurity,
it combines that technical, administrative, and configurative skill with that aspect of critical thinking, and quite a bit of creativity, to
make a difference. Whether that is safeguarding data, creating and managing secure
networks, and protecting your devices from malware/viruses/hackers.
